NCC outlines nursing funding requests

In a letter sent this week to Congressional leadership and to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, the Nursing Community Coalition urges Congress to fully fund critical nursing programs. The NCC requests at least $302.472 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and at least $197.693 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research in fiscal year 2024, as stipulated in the Senate Appropriations Committee passed bill. The letter, signed by AONL and the other 62 members of the NCC, also asks Congress to avoid a long-term continuing resolution. (NCC letter, 1/9/24)
