NCC submits funding request to Senate subcommittee

AONL and 60 other Nursing Community Coalition members signed onto written testimony submitted to the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services and Education requesting funding for fiscal year 2027. The NCC seeks at least $610 million for the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and at least $215 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research. The funding request aligns with a Senate “dear colleague” letter signed by 39 Senators to Senate subcommittee leaders, a House “dear colleague” letter signed by 102 representatives to House subcommittee leaders and previous letters the NCC sent to the House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittees on Labor, HHS and Education.
