NINR seeks research proposals to improve rural health

The National Institute of Nursing Research seeks research on intervention strategies addressing the social determinants of health to improve health and advance health equity in rural populations. NINR would like to see studies harnessing a variety of methods and approaches addressing accessibility and feasibility of interventions in rural populations, including community-engaged research that builds on rural communities’ strengths. Applicants will need to submit a Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives. A funding opportunity announcement contains more information. NINR will host a pre-application webinar on April 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET; participants must register in advance. The application deadline is May 17. (NINR news release, 3/6/24)
