SAMHSA offers behavioral health equity challenge

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration invites health systems and their community-based organization partners to apply for $50,000 in funding to support initiatives to help underserved racial and ethnic communities access behavioral health services. SAMHSA will award 10 grants ─ four awards for strategies to address mental health; three awards for strategies to address substance use prevention; and three awards for strategies to address substance use treatment. SAMHSA will use the challenge to engage directly with more community-based organizations providing behavioral health services and supports. Submissions are due by June 8 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
