Survey: Nurses remain passionate about patient care

Despite ongoing challenges, nurses remain passionate about patient care, a national survey found. More than 65% of nurses cited their passion for helping people through meaningful work. However, nurses selected pay rates/compensation (86%), staffing shortages (53%), stress (39%) and burnout (35%) as the top areas of dissatisfaction facing the profession. Cross Country Healthcare, a workforce solutions firm based in Boca Raton, Fla., conducted the annual survey of 1,780 nursing professionals between May 11 and June 24 in collaboration with Florida Atlantic University’s Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. (Newswise release, 9/8/22)
