Survey: Americans likely to recommend telemedicine after using it

Although 27% of respondents said they had a negative perception of telemedicine before trying it, 90%, after trying it, 90% said they would recommend it to someone who has not used it, a survey found. Conducted by insurance company Assurance in June 2023, the poll of 1,007 Americans found Baby Boomers were slightly more likely at 31% to express doubts about telemedicine’s effectiveness, compared with 27% of Gen Z and 25% of Millennial and Gen X age groups. About three in five Americans (62%) said telemedicine makes them more likely to seek out care they would normally delay. (Medical Economics article, 8/28/23)
