NAM announces release of clinician burnout report

The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) is about to release the latest in a series of publications produced by the Action Collaborative leading its multi-year effort to promote clinician well-being and resilience. Taking Action Against Burnout: A Systems Approach to Professional Well-Being examines the scientific evidence regarding the causes of clinician burnout, the consequences for both clinicians and patients, and interventions to support clinician well-being and resilience. AONL member Sharon Pappas, PhD, RN, chief nurse executive at Emory Healthcare, Atlanta, served on the committee that authored the report. The public is invited to attend the 11:30 a.m. ET launch event in person at the NAM headquarters in Washington, D.C. or via webcast.
