NCC highlights priorities to congressional leaders

In honor of National Nurses Week, AONL and the other 63 members of the Nursing Community Coalition urged congressional leaders to pass legislative priorities directly affecting nursing education, workforce and research. They urge Congress to approve at least $530 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and $210 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research in fiscal year 2025. They call for legislation supporting nursing schools, faculty and students. The NCC also held a reception during National Nurses Week honoring congressional nurse champions. (NCC letter, 5/6/24)
