PPC offers help for communicating with intubated patients

Free tools for communicating with intubated COVID-19 patients and others unable to speak are available online from the Patient Provider Communication Forum. The bank of communications resources includes English language and graphic boards for use with various age groups. PPC also provides instructions for presenting the boards, which will soon be translated into Arabic, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Mandarin, Portuguese and Spanish. A six-module, online training on how to communicate with intubated adult patients, as well as other COVID-19 resources, is also available through the website.
