Alums reflect on value of AONL Nurse Executive Fellowship

Alumni from the inaugural class of AONL Nurse Executive Fellows report in the March Journal of Nursing Administration they “learned about [themselves] as leaders, identified leadership strengths and potential, were challenged to develop executive competencies, and developed bonds with a cohort of peers.” The fellowship, which included three face-to-face gatherings and virtual small group meetings, fostered connections between participants while strengthening their individual competencies. Sharing with others during “circle time,” performing a structured self-assessment and reflecting to gain self-awareness were especially powerful learning experiences.
