AONL members among inaugural class of Coldiron Senior Nurse Executives

AONL President-elect Erik Martin, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Ky., is one of several AONL members selected to become fellows in the inaugural class of Coldiron Senior Nurse Executives. “This fellowship will provide a valuable experience for seasoned nurse executives, helping them to master the skills needed to meet the current and future challenges in any setting where they promote health or lead care delivery,” said AONL CEO Robyn Begley, DNP, RN, who is also senior vice president of workforce and chief nursing officer for the American Hospital Association. The fellowship is open to nurse executives with at least five years of experience. AONL is a partner in the fellowship, along with the American Nurses Association, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and Case Western University’s Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio, which hosts the Coldiron program through its Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy. (The Daily article, 3/9/21)
