NAM launches initiative to build trust in science

The National Academy of Medicine launched an initiative to build trust in science by placing community wisdom at the center of efforts to strengthen public confidence in health science. More than 30 community leaders, researchers and practitioners will co-develop community-driven approaches prioritizing lived experience, diverse perspectives and shared stewardship. The NAM says community voice and lived experience are essential to making scientific guidance understandable, relevant and trustworthy. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is supporting the initiative. Interested individuals can join a listserv. (NAM news release, 12/9/25)
