AONL
Content by and about the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).
Demand for N95 filtering facemask respirators during the COVID-19 pandemic far exceeds the supply, leading to discussions about how to best decontaminate them for reuse.
To understand more about hardwiring accountability, two AONL members, Reynaldo R. Rivera, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, and Laura Caramanica, PhD, RN, CENP, FAAN, interviewed Cy Wakeman, the author of two best sellers, Reality-Based Leadership and Reality-Based Rules of the Workplace.
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, AONL and eight other nursing organizations have endorsed a proposed model of practice-academic partnerships between health care facilities and pre-licensure registered nurse and practical/vocational nursing programs.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offered strategies for optimizing facemask supplies in health care settings where stocks are limited.
