Webinar Explores Virtual Care in Rural Healthcare

The AONL-American Hospital Association Learning Community will host a webinar on virtual care in rural healthcare on June 3 from 12:00-1:00 ET. The session will explore how hospitals can scale virtual services across a statewide network through tele-intensive care units, virtual nursing and virtual sitter programs. It also will explore how nurse leaders can prepare a rural hospital for virtual nursing implementation through strategy, infrastructure, vendor selection, financial planning and workforce design, as well as how to deliver high-level care on a remote island through a tele-ICU-supported model. Attendees will learn how nurse leaders can design, adapt and sustain virtual care models that support patient safety, staff confidence, operational reliability and rural care delivery.
